Who Can Donate Blood?
Most healthy people can donate blood, but here are the standard requirements:
- Age: 18–65 years old
- Weight: At least 50kg (110 lbs)
- Hemoglobin: At least 12.5 g/dL
- Must be in good general health on the day of donation
- No major illness in the last 6 months
If you’ve recently had surgery, a tattoo, or traveled abroad, consult your local center before donating.
